Group Benefits

Employee Group Benefits is a plan under which members of a structured group insure themselves against potential losses in the event of death, disability, and medical treatments they may incur.
We specialize in customizing benefit plans that are cost-effective and responsive to the needs of our clients. We are proud of our information network and feel that it is this type of material that supports our goals of providing "value added" services. Coverage includes:

Group Life: Life insurance offered to members of a group, usually employees. The employee typically has a master policy and all employees are offered some coverage without any underwriting requirements. The premiums may be paid by the employer, the employee or both.

AD&D: Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, an elective benefit, is available to employees under group policies and provides additional coverage in the event that the employee does die or become disfigured. An insurance company pays a predetermined cash amount to the employee's designated beneficiary, or to himself in cases of losing an extremity, vision or hearing.

Dependent Life: Insurance benefit paid in the event of the death of an insured dependent any time from any cause.

Long-Term Disability: Sometimes called LTD by your employer, this is an elected benefit available during most enrollment periods. The disability must be permanent, and prevent you from working in any occupation. It will usually cover 50% of your earnings before disability, with a ceiling, usually $3000 per month. Like all insurance products, employees are encourage to carefully review all literature and conditions so they understand the terms, conditions and limitations of LTD payments.

Business Overhead Insurance: When disabled for more then a certain number of days, this benefit will pay up to a particular amount towards your rent, professional dues, business tax, salaries, and much more, for up to a period of two years. It is available on all policies with LTD.

Extended Health Benefits: Peace of mind........when you need it the most.
We offer your employees and their families the protection and peace of mind they need to complement their provincial health insurance coverage. Group Health plans can be customized to meet your employees needs.

All employees enrolled in the plan must participate in this benefit unless they are covered under a spousal health plan. A full range of coverage and products/services are available:

  • Hospital / Medical Benefits
  • World Wide Travel Assistance
  • Vision Care
  • Prescription Drugs

Dental Care: provides comprehensive dental services and supplies for plan members and their eligible dependents. Five levels of coverage are available. At each level, a variety of plan design features, such as co-insurance, deductibles and maximums are offered.

All employees enrolled in the plan must participate in this benefit unless they are covered under a spousal dental plan. Late Entrants are limited to coverage for their first 12 months of coverage.
